Job Summary

Construction Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning and Initiation

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, resource allocation, and budget forecasts.
  • Obtain all necessary permits, licenses, and approvals required for the project.

2. Execution and Control

  • Lead and manage

    the on-site team, including supervisors, foremen, and laborers, ensuring productivity and adherence to project schedules.
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of all subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks, delays, or cost overruns, and implement corrective actions proactively.
  • Ensure that all construction activities are executed in accordance with engineering designs, quality standards, and specifications.

3. Budget and Financial Management

  • Manage the project budget effectively, tracking all expenditure and providing regular cost reports.
  • Approve material requisitions and contractor invoices.
  • Negotiate contracts, changes in scope, and variations orders with clients and subcontractors.

4. Safety and Quality Management

  • Enforce strict compliance

    with all company and statutory safety standards (e.g., BOCW Act, Factory Act, etc.) on site.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and site audits to ensure a hazard-free working environment.
  • Implement and maintain a rigorous Quality Control (QC) program, conducting quality checks on materials and workmanship.

5. Communication and Reporting

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare and present accurate weekly and monthly project status reports to senior management.
  • Manage project documentation, ensuring all records, correspondence, and drawings are up-to-date and properly archived.

Required Qualifications

  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of

    10 years

    of proven experience in managing construction projects, preferably in relevant industry, e.g., high-rise commercial or Residential infrastructure, Commercial Buildings, Production Houses.
  • Technical Skills:

    Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6), MS Office Suite, and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge:

    Deep understanding of local construction laws, building codes, and safety regulations in India and Uttar Pradesh.

Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional leadership, team management, and delegation skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Hindi and English).
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
