OVERVIEW: The Project Manager & Quality Control Specialist, Medical Writing is responsible for day-to-day project management and oversight of Medical Writing projects. The Project Manager & Quality Control Specialist, Medical Writing uses their knowledge and proven background in Medical Writing and Quality Control (QC) to deliver quality content to clients, on time, within budget, and following scope requirements. The Project Manager & Quality Control Specialist, Medical Writing liaises closely with the Client Services and Sales teams to ensure all project requirements are understood and adhered to, Medical Writers are able to deliver per instructions, and customers have excellent experiences with TransPerfect due to clear communication, and well-developed deliverables. DESCRIPTION: Oversee and execute internal workflows related to Medical Writing projects, including but not limited to: Budgeting Timelines Writer placement and daily management QC of all deliverables following internal QC Checklist · Monitor and communicate project progress, ensure strict adherence to deadlines, and ultimately produce highquality deliverables. · Partner with Client Services and Sales on administrative tasks related to all assigned projects · Drive Good Documentation Practices (GDP) best practices on all projects · Partner with Program Managers, Compliance, and Sales to strengthen client relationships, improve internal production processes, and guide new areas for the business · Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor REQUIRED SKILLS: Superior written and spoken communication skills in English Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Client CAPA management – able to investigate quality/service/timeliness issues for relevant projects Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality deliverables to client Strong organizational skills REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent Minimum 2-3 years of Project Management experience or within the Life Sciences / Medical Writing industry DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Confident when interacting with internal stakeholders, able to explain production processes and help drive internal improvements Work well with people from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures Build relationships with clients and co-workers Can work independently and as part of a team.
