Job Description: As a Project Manager at I3T, Kolkata, you will be a crucial member of our research management team, responsible for planning, executing, and closing research projects efficiently. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of project management experience, with a background in scientific research and a strong track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Initiation: Collaborate with research teams to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource requirements. Identify and engage relevant stakeholders and establish project teams. Project Execution: Lead project teams in the day-to-day execution of research projects, ensuring adherence to project plans. Monitor project progress, budget, and timelines, and implement necessary adjustments. Coordinate and communicate project status and updates to stakeholders. Resource Management: Allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials. Ensure effective utilization of resources to meet project goals. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project outcomes. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address challenges as they arise. Quality Assurance: Ensure that research projects maintain high standards of quality and adhere to relevant standards and regulations. Conduct regular quality assessments and implement improvement measures. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and deliver regular project reports to senior management and stakeholders. Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and project closure documentation. Team Leadership: Provide leadership, motivation, and direction to project teams. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor s degree in project management, science, or a related field. PMP or equivalent certification is a plus. 3 to 5 years of project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully managing research projects. Strong understanding of scientific research processes and methodologies. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
