Project Manager - BI

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee and take responsibility for the successful delivery of a range of projects which should result in accurate analysis and faster decision making while maintaining data security.
• Upgrade and transform the reporting and visualization platform (currently on Power BI) to be world-class.
• Becoming a thought partner for front-end teams across the org. landscape as an SME on reporting and visualization.
• Ensure front-end visualizations are captivating and would call for action, enabling leaders to make the right decisions at a fast pace.
• Managing the MSBI development team of 10-15 people
• Make the backend architecture agile and use efficient data warehousing and ETL techniques to optimize cost.
• Data maintenance through governance on storage, ETL and quality.
• Optimization of the performance of reports.
• Coordination with support teams like DBA, Microsoft & other internal support teams.
• Work very closely with Sales, Investment, Risk, Operations, Finance, Compliance and HR teams to understand business requirements, and help build the appropriate reports and dashboards to meet those requirements.
• Present to senior leaders of the company as you build a state-of-the-art visualization platform for Reporting and Analytics.
• Set up end to end real-time interactive dashboard for the company, with a great understanding of the business requirements and domain knowledge, with the expectation that we push the boundaries way beyond whats being done today.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to drive business outcomes with speed.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors/Master's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• 10-12 years of Relevant experience implementing BI projects primarily on MSBI & Power BI/data visualization.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in MSBI components and managing databases.
• Should have good knowledge and experience in data warehousing and designing IT architecture.
• Very good knowledge on ETL
• Good knowledge on cloud and working knowledge on atleast on cloud service provider like Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Expert on SQL,
• Relevant Project management experience.
• Minimum 3 years of Team management experience.
• Strong communication (written, verbal, and presentation) skills.
• Strong business acumen, curiosity, agility, analytical and problem-solving skills to translate user requirements into appropriate dashboards, visualizations, and reports.
