Project Management Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Establish and maintain IT project governance, methodologies, templates and best practices.
• Track and monitor all IT projects, ensuring progress, risks and issues are regularly reported and escalated.
• Coordinate with IT, Business Heads and Vendors to ensure smooth project delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
• Facilitate project planning activities including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation.
• Maintain centralized project documentation, dashboards, timelines and performance metrics.
• Manage project risks, dependencies and change-control processes.
• Conduct periodic project reviews, audits and status meetings.
• Support portfolio prioritization and capacity planning across IT initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to compliance, security and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying gaps, optimizing processes and improving project delivery efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile

Technical & Project Management Expertise:

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, cloud and enterprise systems.
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Monday.com, Asana, etc.).
• Knowledge of PM frameworks such as PMI, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall.
• Experience in budgeting, vendor management and project financial tracking.

Analytical & Operational Skills:

• Strong analytical capability for tracking KPIs, dashboards, resource utilization and project performance.
• Ability to identify risks early and implement mitigation plans.
• Expertise in process standardization and workflow optimization.

Leadership & Communication:

• Excellent coordination, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Strong documentation, presentation and reporting abilities.
• Ability to guide and mentor project teams and enforce governance standards.
