Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Governance & Standards
  • Develop and enforce project management methodologies, frameworks, templates, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and policies across all projects.
  • Project Planning & Execution Support
  • Support project managers in planning, tracking, and executing projects.
  • Facilitate project kick-offs, reviews, and closure activities.
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on PMO practices.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track project status, milestones, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
  • Prepare executive-level dashboards, progress reports, and portfolio health summaries.
  • Identify and escalate issues, risks, or bottlenecks proactively.
  • Resource & Portfolio Management
  • Manage project resource allocation in collaboration with functional leads.
  • Prioritize projects based on business value and resource availability.
  • Maintain the project portfolio roadmap to align with organizational strategy.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate project performance and implement lessons learned.
  • Drive adoption of tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, or similar) for efficiency.
  • Recommend process improvements for project delivery excellence.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management or PMO roles.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Smart sheet, or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting abilities.
