Job Description

Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesProject Management:Oversee the engineering scope of projects and ensure deliverables meet quality and technical standards. Establish and implement project procedures to align with contractual requirements.Manage technical execution to support the business objectives of the project. Departmental Administration:Lead the administration and technical management of the Project Engineering Department.Assign staffing for Project Engineering roles on projects and proposals.Instill and promote a Safety as a Value culture.Departmental Development:Establish budgets and salary plans for the department.Identify, recruit, and maintain staffing levels suitable for the projected workload.Provide leadership and training to foster professional growth within the team.Identify and address performance gaps.Resource Management:Allocate resources to ensure on-time, quality, and cost-effective project deliverables.Ensure work integrity, cost control, schedule adherence, and budget management.Coordinate effectively with other departments, offices, and teams to meet project requirements.Performance Monitoring:Proactively manage changes and monitor project performance.Participate in monthly project reviews and assessments for continuous improvement.Support proposal development and integrate lessons learned into future projects.Reporting Structure:Reports to:Functional: Director of EngineeringLiaises with:Project Engineers, PEM, PM, Discipline Lead Engineers, Engineering Department Managers, Construction/Fabrication Team, Project Controls, Finance, Proposals. Supervises:Project Engineering Team, Manager of Project Engineering Qualifications Essential Qualifications and Education:Advanced degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university.20+ years of proven leadership experience in Project Engineering and/or Engineering Management.Preferably a Registered Engineer or member of a professional engineering society.Required Skills and Experience:Broad technical knowledge of detailed design engineering codes and standards.Familiarity with detailed engineering work procedures and processes.Ability to read and interpret contractual documentation.Effective communication and leadership skills, capable of managing diverse teams.Experience with field assignments and international projects.Proficiency in multi-office (MOPEX) execution and Joint Venture/Consortium project execution.Expertise in both revamping (Brownfield) and grassroots (Greenfield) projects.
