Project Engineer (Civil)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Supervisor (Civil) to oversee the on-ground execution of an infrastructure project at Chanpatia, West Champaran. This role is critical in ensuring quality construction, timely delivery, and compliance with all technical and safety standards. The ideal candidate should possess strong site execution skills, technical knowledge in civil engineering, and prior experience handling institutional or government-funded construction projects. Key Responsibilities Site Execution & Supervision - Supervise day-to-day civil works including structural, RCC, masonry, and finishing activities across all project blocks (hostel, academic, staff housing, etc.) - Monitor progress and ensure adherence to construction schedules, specifications, and drawings. - Coordinate with contractors, vendors, engineers, architects, and project consultants on all site-related matters. - Ensure all works are carried out as per approved BOQ, standards, and government norms. Quality Control & Compliance - Enforce quality assurance protocols for materials and workmanship. - Conduct site inspections and verify measurements, levels, alignments, and structural integrity. - Ensure full compliance with relevant IS codes, building by-laws, and environmental and safety guidelines. Project Coordination & Documentation - Maintain daily site reports, DPRs, material consumption logs, and labor attendance records. - Raise indent requests for material and ensure timely availability to avoid work delays. - Liaise with local authorities, PMC consultants, and government representatives for site inspections and approvals. Risk Management & Issue Resolution - Identify potential project delays or technical issues and recommend corrective actions. - Report critical deviations to senior management with suitable recommendations. Desired Profile Experience & Qualifications - Education: Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech preferred) - Experience: Minimum 5–7 years in site supervision, with proven experience in handling school buildings, government or institutional infrastructure projects Technical Skills - Proficient in reading and interpreting civil drawings, working drawings, and structural details - Familiarity with construction methods, site safety practices, and material testing procedures - Basic understanding of project management tools and MS Office (Excel, Word) Key Attributes - Strong leadership and organizational skills - High attention to detail with a hands-on approach - Ability to manage labor and contractors efficiently - Capable of handling pressure and adhering to strict deadlines Role Details Role: Project Supervisor – Civil Project Type: Institutional Infrastructure (Government – Minority Welfare Department) Industry: Construction / Civil / Infrastructure Department: Engineering & Site Management Employment Type: Full-Time, Project-Based Contract Location: Chanpatia, District West Champaran, Bihar If you are a technically sound, quality-driven civil professional looking to contribute to a socially impactful educational infrastructure project, we invite you to apply and join our execution team.
