Job Description

Job Role: The Project Coordinator Civil will assist in planning, monitoring, and coordinating civil construction activities at the solar project site. The role involves supporting the Assistant Manager in managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring smooth execution of foundation works, structural installations, and other civil-related activities while maintaining quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Site Coordination & Monitoring Assist in coordinating and supervising civil works such as land preparation, foundations, and structural installations. Ensure site activities are carried out as per the project schedule. Monitor and report daily progress to the Assistant Manager Civil. 2. Documentation & Reporting Maintain records of civil work progress, material usage, and manpower deployment. Prepare daily and weekly progress reports. Assist in maintaining site documentation, including drawings, inspection reports, and quality checklists. 3. Material & Resource Management Coordinate with the store team to track material availability and usage. Assist in verifying the quality and quantity of received materials. Support procurement planning to ensure materials are available as per project requirements. 4. Quality & Safety Compliance Ensure civil work is executed in compliance with design specifications and quality standards. Report any quality issues or deviations to the Assistant Manager – Civil. Assist in implementing safety protocols and monitoring adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) guidelines. 5. Stakeholder Coordination Work closely with contractors, engineers, and site teams to streamline project execution. Assist in resolving on-site challenges related to civil works. Facilitate communication between the project site and corporate office regarding civil work updates. 6. Support in Project Planning Assist in preparing work schedules and tracking project milestones. Identify any delays or issues and escalate them for timely resolution. Learn and use project management tools for effective planning and reporting. Skills & Competencies: 1. Basic knowledge of civil construction methods and materials. 2. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and site plans. 3. Good communication and coordination skills. 4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 5. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic project management tools. 6. Understanding of safety and quality standards in construction. 7. Ability to work in a fast-paced project site environment.
