About CartLu

CartLu is a grassroots-first tech initiative aimed at empowering India’s street hawkers by bridging the digital divide. Our MVP is a Progressive Web Application (PWA) designed to connect urban consumers with local vendors, bringing fresh produce, sustainability, and dignity to the forefront of everyday commerce.

We’re not just building an app. We’re building a movement.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a passionate and curious PWA Developer to help us build the first version of CartLu. You’ll be working closely with the founding team to create a fast, lightweight, and mobile-first experience that works seamlessly across device, even in low-connectivity environments.

This is a chance to shape something meaningful from the ground up.

What You’ll Be Doing

Architecting and developing the CartLu MVP as a Progressive Web App.

Implementing offline-first capabilities using service workers and caching strategies. 

Integrating basic vendor and consumer flows (e.g., product listings, cart, location-based discovery). 

Ensuring performance & accessibility.

Collaborating on feature prioritization and rapid iteration cycles. 

Contributing to a clean, scalable codebase with documentation.

Skills & Knowledge We’re Looking For

Strong grasp of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+) 

Experience with React.js or Vue.js (React preferred) 

Familiarity with PWA fundamentals: service workers, manifest files, push notifications 

Understanding of REST APIs and basic backend integration 

Knowledge of Lighthouse performance audits and optimization 

Bonus: Experience with Firebase, IndexedDB, or localStorage
