Detailed description:

ResponsibilitiesKey Objectives of this Role:Reporting to the Product Delivery Customer Lead, you will be the main point of contact for the customer, responsible for leading project activities and have the decision authority for the project.
  • Oversee program financial targets with the product financial team to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing plants, including our Hiroshima facility and global sites, to manage cost and timing for the program.
  • Lead supplier sourcing with the Purchasing Department, ensuring alignment with program goals.
  • Mitigate project risks by managing RIOs in enterProj (Program Management tool) and ensuring timely closure.
  • Support the project team in their monitoring and reports of timing, income, expense, and resource management.
  • Prepare and lead Project Board reviews, ensure quality assurance, and chair the Change Control Board (CCB) to manage key project changes and issues.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Achieve program financial targets
  • Ensure Plant process readiness
  • Effective risk and issue management

Key Year One Deliverables:

  • Deliver comprehensive milestone and launch readiness reports, ensuring alignment with customer expectations

Requirements

What you need
  • Project Management or product development experience in the automotive industry with exposure to Electronics products (more than 3 years)
  • A proven track record of managing programs from business award to launch
  • Experience working with cross functional departments (Purchasing, Manufacturing, Finance, Quality, Accounts, etc.)
  • Business level Japanese and English
What we’d love
  • Experience working in either JOEMs or tier 1s to JOEMs
  • Experience with Cockpit Electronics, similar to Visteon product portfolio
  • Experience with hardware and software-based products both in development and production environments. Qualifications Behaviors Preferred Functional Expert
