Edumust is on a mission to bridge the digital divide and transform the lives of government school students by equipping them with digital literacy and 21st-century skills. Our work has reached over 1200 students across 4 government primary schools and 1 community centre in Jalandhar, and we are committed to scaling our impact. In 2024, we entered a phase focused on energizing our organization, expanding our curriculum, strengthening our team. Our journey ahead is bold and ambitious, aiming to create a sustainable, scalable, and impactful model that reaches more students, engages communities, and builds a future where digital literacy is a right, not a privilege. In 2025, we are expanding to at least 10 schools, furthering our mission to provide digital literacy education to a greater number of students across Jalandhar. Position SummaryReporting to: Executive Director/ Senior Program ManagerDirectly Managing: Program AssociateLocation: Jalandhar, Punjab (full-time, in-person) Roles & ResponsibilitiesAs a lead role, this position demands strong ownership and accountability, innovation and initiative, collaboration and teamwork, and active community and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with the other Program Lead to ensure seamless coordination between program implementation and design. As a Program Lead, you will work on: Program Design & Curriculum Development:Designing and improving the curriculum for the computer literacy and 21st-century skills programs.Tailor learning materials to meet the needs of students, ensuring alignment with Edumust’s mission and goals.Collaborate with the Implementation & Volunteer Lead to ensure the curriculum is effectively delivered in the classrooms. On-Ground Monitoring & Reporting:Conduct classroom observations, collect feedback from teachers and students, and identify areas for improvement.Maintain documentation of progress, challenges, and achievements for internal reporting.Support continuous improvement of program delivery based on feedback and observations. As a People Manager, you will work on: Managing and Developing Associates:Guiding and Supporting Associates, Provide mentorship, clear direction, and constructive feedback to ensure effective execution of responsibilities.Professional Growth & Learning, Facilitate training, exposure to new challenges, and skill-building in stakeholder management, content development, pedagogy, and implementation.Performance Management, Conduct regular check-ins, set goals, and create a structured feedback loop to track progress and development.Building a Strong Team Culture, Foster collaboration, accountability, and innovation while leading by example and encouraging open communication.Monitoring Performance & Insights, Establish key performance indicators for associates, track progress, and share insights with the leadership team to drive improvements. Teacher Hiring & TrainingAssist in recruiting part-time teachers for digital literacy programs.Facilitate ongoing professional development for teachers, focusing on digital literacy and 21st-century skills, including providing basic technical support, stakeholder management, content, and pedagogy.Monitor teachers’ effectiveness in the classroom, providing coaching and feedback when necessary. Social Media & Outreach:Manage and maintain Edumust’s presence on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).Create content calendars, campaign strategies, and posts to engage the community and stakeholders.Increase visibility and engagement through digital marketing efforts. As a Lead at Edumust, you will work on: Branding & Design:Create visually appealing and impactful materials (presentations, brochures, reports, social media posts).Ensure Edumust’s brand and message are consistently represented across all communications.Design resources such as learning aids, guides, and instructional materials for teachers and students. Content Creation & Storytelling:Craft compelling stories to highlight the impact of Edumust’s programs on students and communities.Develop blog posts, newsletters, and other written content to promote Edumust’s initiatives.Share testimonials and success stories from teachers, students, and volunteers. Monitoring & Evaluation:Defining Key Metrics, Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for program implementation, teacher effectiveness, and student learning outcomes.Data-Driven Decision Making, Design and implement systems for data collection, attendance tracking, and program performance analysis.Impact Assessment & Reporting, Evaluate program performance, generate reports, and share findings with the leadership team for continuous improvement.Continuous Learning & Innovation, Research best practices, cross-learn from experts, and bring in new insights, ideas, and strategies to enhance program effectiveness. What You Should HaveQualifications:Bachelor’s or Master's degree in education, community development or a related field, journalism, communications, public relations, or marketing, though other degrees are also acceptableMinimum 3-4 years of full time professional work experience, designing & managing projects and leading teams. Experience teaching and working with teachers is a plus (fellowship experience is acceptable)Teaching experience in a low-income school with a strong track record of building academics, values, mindsets, and pathways to opportunity with students.A minimum of 2 years of an instructional leadership role, with strong results in team growth, student growth, team culture, training effectiveness and school partner investment.Experience of managing and coaching small, high-performing teams to achieving ambitious outcomes.Experience of having collaborated effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups.Deep understanding of education pedagogy, lesson planning, curriculum, and subject knowledgeStrong End-to-end project management experience (from vision setting to execution), including assessing progress in goals, making necessary course corrections and/or reinforcementsStrong verbal and written communication skills to engage with schools, parents, and community members, local authorities, and other stakeholders in the system.Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google suite, social media apps, basic illustration applications, and other required online tools like AI tools, Canva, Adobe Suite, i-movie, movie maker, etcProficiency in English, Hindi, and proficiency in Punjabi is a plus.Owning and being able to drive at least a two-wheeler is essential, as daily school visits will require travel.
