Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Shop Floor Management:

  Lead, mentor, and manage a production team of 20+ operators and staff. Oversee daily work allocation, training, and performance.

• Production Planning:

  Develop and execute daily, weekly and monthly production schedules to meet order deadlines. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure materials and resources are available.

• Efficiency Improvement:

  Actively identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve production efficiency, reduce waste (material and time), and optimize workflows.

• Lean & 5S:

  Champion and maintain

  5S

  methodologies and other lean manufacturing principles to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workplace.

• Quality Assurance:

  Uphold all quality control standards. Ensure all products manufactured meet an acceptable quality, minimizing rework and rejections.

• Safety & Compliance:

  Enforce all company safety protocols and health guidelines. Conduct regular safety checks and training to ensure a zero-accident environment.

• Reporting:

  Track key production metrics (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for management on output, quality, and team performance.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience:

  A minimum of

  5 years

  of experience in a production supervision role within a manufacturing environment.

• Team Leadership:

  Proven experience managing and supervising a shop floor team of

  20 or more

  employees.

• Technical Skills:

  Strong background in

  production planning

  , scheduling, and resource management.

• Process Improvement:

  Hands-on experience with

  efficiency improvements

  , lean manufacturing, and

  5S

  implementation is essential.

• Industry Knowledge:

  Experience in a conversion operation (e.g., slitting, punching, lamination) or with materials like abrasives and tapes is highly desirable.

• Core Competencies:

  Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Must be a hands-on leader.

• IT Skills:

  Proficiency in

  Microsoft Office

  (Excel, Word) for planning and reporting is a definite plus.

• Education:

  Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering is preferred.
