Production Manager/Supervisor

Background: Eco-Shelter Projects LLP (Ocean's subsidiary) is an innovative manufacturing company. We are developing a new industry for affordable, safe and sustainable roofing and building materials derived from bamboo. Eco-Shelter Projects LLP is building a first of its kind manufacturing facility in Nashik, Maharashtra and is seeking a qualified Production Manager to lead and manage daily operations. Position Summary: The Production Manager will be responsible for managing daily manufacturing operations:Safety – People SafetyQuality – Product QualityDelivery – Satisfy customers by on time delivery of factory schedule as promisedCost – Respect factory budget The Production manager will lead a team of Shift Production Workers, Shift Maintenance Supervisors, and a Mechanical Fitter ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely. This role also includes overseeing maintenance schedules, optimizing production processes, and managing the plant’s industrial control systems (PLCs and software). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations, excellent leadership skills, and technical expertise in operating and maintaining industrial machinery. Main Responsibilities: Production Management:Deliver daily production activities to ensure timely and efficient output.Develop and implement production schedules to consistently meet/exceed quality and quantity targets.Meet and exceed production metrics and KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement in processes and output. Team Leadership:Lead, train, and motivate a team of machine operators and production staff.Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Develop and maintain a performance culture by providing 1:1 coaching, timely feedback and performance/development evaluationsConduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching. Technical Oversight:Manage and maintain production machinery and equipment in like new condition.Implement proper preventative/predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime to be better than industry standard.Ensure proper functioning and optimization of production software systems. Quality & Compliance:Ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards and specifications.Implement and maintain safety protocols and regulatory compliance.Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions. Process Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence. Other:Complete duties as required to support the factory and contribute to the business. Qualifications:Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or a related field.)Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Production Supervisor in Wood Panel manufacturing within India.Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery maintenance, and manufacturing software systems.Ability to speak in Marathi and Hindi proficiently (required). Ability to communicate basics in English.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to analyze data and use KPIs to drive decision-making.Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
