Job Description

The ideal candidate will own the entire production process. They will strategize with other internal teams to ensure operational excellence. The will also run quality assessment to ensure customer satisfaction. 

 

Responsibilities

  1. Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Prepare and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans aligned with export timelines.
  • Coordinate with the design, sampling, and purchase teams to ensure BOM accuracy and raw material availability.
  • Optimize plant capacity utilization and workflow efficiency.
  • Monitor WIP and ensure adherence to production deadlines.
  1. Process Management

  • Oversee all production stages including cutting, machining, veneering, assembly, polishing, leather wrapping, finishing, and packing.
  • Introduce process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce wastage.
  • Ensure alignment of production methods with buyer specifications and product design intent.
  • Streamline coordination between in-house and outsourced (job work) production.
  1. Quality & Compliance

  • Work closely with QA/QC teams to maintain export-level quality standards.
  • Conduct stage-wise inspection to minimize rejections and ensure consistent output quality.
  • Drive adherence to international compliance norms, packaging, and labeling requirements.
  1. Team Management

  • Lead production supervisors, technicians, and operators across departments.
  • Foster a disciplined, safety-first, and target-oriented work culture.
  • Conduct periodic training and performance evaluations to enhance team productivity.
  1. Cost Control & Efficiency

  • Track and control production costs against budgeted standards.
  • Identify and implement measures to reduce wastage and improve yield.
  • Present periodic MIS reports covering productivity, variances, and line efficiency.
  1. ERP / Data Integration

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry of all production activities in

    Business Central (ERP)

    .
  • Generate and analyze daily FG (Finished Goods) reports and production dashboards.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives for production tracking and performance analysis.


Qualifications

B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.

Experience:

Key Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of furniture production techniques, materials, and finishes.
  • Strong grasp of process planning, manpower allocation, and quality control.
  • Knowledge of CNC / woodworking machinery and finishing operations.
  • Hands-on experience in ERP, MS Excel, and production tracking tools.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and leadership abilities.
