Job Title: Production Manager Location: Talegaon Dabhade, Pune, Maharashtra Salary: Up to ₹20 LPA (depending on experience) Education: B.Tech in Dairy Technology or Food Technology (preferred) Experience: 10 to 14 years of experience in the dairy or food processing industry Industry: Food & Beverage / FMCG Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to oversee and optimize manufacturing operations at our facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and deep expertise in food production (preferably dairy or FMCG) to ensure high-quality, cost-effective output, while maintaining compliance with all relevant industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Production & Operations: Plan and manage manufacturing activities to meet monthly, weekly, and daily production targets. Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory norms (FSSAI, weights & measures), and operational guidelines. Maximize machine utilization and improve overall plant efficiency. Coordinate with planning, marketing, and supply chain teams for effective demand forecasting and execution. Cost & Resource Management: Monitor and control product costs, ensuring alignment with budgets. Drive reduction in raw material (RM), packaging material (PM), and finished goods (FG) losses. Optimize resource usage and implement cost-saving strategies. Collaborate with stores and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels. Quality & Compliance: Implement systems to monitor deviations and ensure corrective actions are taken. Maintain compliance with food safety and quality standards. Oversee GMP and GHP implementation across the plant. Team Leadership & Training: Lead, motivate, and train staff across production, QA, dispatch, and related functions. Facilitate skill development programs for operators, executives, and shift in-charges. Foster a positive and productivity-driven workplace culture. Maintenance & Continuous Improvement: Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive maintenance planning. Train operators on basic maintenance to reduce downtime and overall maintenance cost. Support plant upgrade projects and expansion planning based on projected volumes. Requirements: Proven track record in production planning, yield improvement, and cost control Prior experience managing production in an FMCG or similar high-output environment Skills: Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management skills Excellent understanding of shop floor operations and manufacturing KPIs Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret data and drive performance improvements Sound knowledge of industry-standard equipment, safety, and compliance protocols Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year Schedule: Day shift Experience: Dairy OR Food Processing Industry: 10 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
