Role & responsibilities JOB OBJECTIVE : The Production In charge is responsible for managing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high-quality standards and safety protocols. KEY RESPONSBILITIES : Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of all Sales Order received by adequate production planning and control. Prepare reports on production performance, including output, quality, and efficiency metrics. Analyze the above reports / metrics / production data to identify areas for improvement in Production Efficiency (Output) Take appropriate action for ensuring Improvement in labour skill sets (Training / Good Hiring) Improve Production Efficiency (Output) by introduction of Piece rate incentive (Monthly Payout) Supervise and coordinate daily production activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules. Ensure the Stores layout / respective SUBWarehouse is well organized, demarcated, labelled and efficiently managed so as to optimize storage space, have designated storage space, optimize movement and effective handling of materials (5S implementation 100%). Maintain Stock Storage accuracy as per RRB (Row-Rack-Bin) Receive inputs from Quality Manager regarding non confirmities and ensure implementation of corrective actions / preventive actions as necessary to meet quality standards. Collaborate with other departments, including R&D and Quality to optimize production processes and resolve any issues. Implement Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) processes within the factory and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among staff Assist in Inventory management and ensure proper maintenance of production equipment. Lead, train, and mentor production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred. EXPERIENCE 3+ years of experience in a Managerial role within the lighting or manufacturing industry SKILLS Strong understanding of production processes and quality control standards. Good leadership and communication skills. Proficient in using production management software and MS Office Suite. Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
