Production Engineer

Core responsibilities Team management: Supervise and guide production staff, including hiring, training, and coaching, to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Production planning: Develop and manage production schedules to meet demand, allocate resources like materials and equipment, and ensure timely delivery. Quality control: Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure products meet company and customer specifications, and implement corrective actions when necessary. Safety and compliance: Ensure all production activities comply with company policies, health and safety regulations, and other legal requirements. This includes conducting safety inspections and providing training. Process improvement: Monitor production processes and equipment performance to identify inefficiencies, suggest improvements, and implement solutions to boost productivity and reduce costs. Record keeping and reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory, and labor hours, and prepare reports for management.  Key skills and qualifications Leadership and communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage and motivate a team. Technical knowledge: A solid understanding of the manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment specific to the industry. Problem-solving: The ability to identify and resolve production-related issues and make sound decisions. Organizational skills: Strong time management and multitasking abilities to handle a variety of responsibilities. Safety knowledge: A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices. Education: Often requires a degree in a related field like mechanical engineering or manufacturing, though some roles may be filled by those with extensive experience.
