Job Description

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Client Teams, Product Management, and Data Stewardship/Management leadership to understand and align with the data product strategy.
Communicate the product roadmap and vision to development teams, ensuring it is kept updated and prioritized based on client needs and delivery timelines.
Utilize scrum and Lean/Agile methodologies to bridge business needs with technical implementation.
Gather and define requirements, document the scope of delivery, and interact with internal and external stakeholders to understand business value.
Conduct EPIC envisioning sessions to break down requirements into manageable smaller stories.
Support the development team with expertise on data and product-related questions throughout the development lifecycle.
Understand the technical components, APIs, data systems, and services involved in the product.
Present business value delivered with each work increment completed during sprint reviews.
Identify key value drivers and opportunities across products and processes, defining strategies for enhancements and process improvements.
Develop short-term preventive or detective measures, and lead medium/long-term product improvement initiatives in collaboration with engineering, QA, and data support teams.
Coordinate with data engineers to design repeatable processes and generate deliverables for routine business questions.

Project-Specific Responsibilities:

Oversee the integration of extensive Buyside Contacts data into the financial intelligence platform, ensuring data accessibility and usability for various client personas.
Facilitate data movement between systems, implementing necessary architectural changes.
Create and enhance mappings between different data systems to ensure seamless data integration.
Ensure the accurate creation and improvement of data records through automated processes.
Develop and implement mechanisms to eliminate duplicate data entries.
Enhance and unify data collection tools to improve efficiency.
Collaborate with backend teams and front-end developers as required.
Manage the project roadmap to ensure timely completion of manual data mapping.
Monitor project budget and resource allocation, maintaining effective communication with tech teams and stakeholders.

Business Competencies:

Experience using financial data and analytical processes to drive decision-making, with the ability to explain analyses to an executive audience.
Strong knowledge of Agile development frameworks, with practical experience supporting flexible application of principles.
Strong conceptual understanding of data integration technologies and standards.
Familiarity with road-mapping and issue-tracking software applications, including Jira.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SQL, Apigee, API, Elastic Search, MongoDB, and Postman preferred.
Understanding of financial markets is preferred.
Advocate for data analysis in decision-making and promoter of data and engineering best practices.
Team player comfortable working with a globally distributed team across time zones.
Solid communicator with both technology teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong interest in FinTech and providing investors with the best digital experience in the financial industry.
