Product Owner - Research and Development

Position Overview

Product Owner cum Scrum Master

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving product delivery, defining the "what" and "why" of features, and ensuring agile teams are aligned, efficient, and outcome-focused without directly engaging in coding or design.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership

• Gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into clear technical deliverables.
• Define product vision, roadmap, and milestones aligned with company goals.
• Collaborate closely with

  Hardware, Firmware, and App Development

  teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
• Evaluate feature feasibility and prioritize tasks based on impact, urgency, and resource availability.
• Ensure that solutions are aligned with business strategy and customer expectations.
• Own the backlog and ensure requirements are clearly communicated, refined, and understood by all teams.

Scrum Master Responsibilities

• Lead agile ceremonies including

  daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives

  .
• Ensure agile practices are implemented effectively to maximize productivity and transparency.
• Identify bottlenecks, risks, and dependencies; proactively resolve issues.
• Facilitate communication across cross-functional teams and remove obstacles that hinder progress.
• Track sprint progress and report outcomes to R&D leadership and stakeholders.

Strategic & Coordination Role

• Serve as the central point of contact between

  business stakeholders

  and

  technical teams

  .
• Create alignment on

  who does what”

  across different technical domains.
• Monitor progress, quality, and adherence to timelines across hardware, firmware, and software projects.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations for

  product improvement

  and

  process optimization

  .
• Evaluate team performance and identify areas for continuous improvement in delivery and collaboration.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s / Master’s in

  Electronics, Electrical, or related Engineering

  .
• 8–14 years of experience in

  embedded product development

  , with at least 3 years in

  project or program management

  .
• Strong understanding of

  embedded systems, firmware, and hardware integration

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  Agile tools (JIRA, MS Project, Confluence)

  .
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary R&D teams and manage delivery timelines.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

• PMP / PRINCE2 / Scrum Master certification

  preferred.
