Principal Product Manager for AI Predict
This position will be responsible for our AI Predict product line – which uses AI/ML to continuously learn from operational patterns, and provide actionable, predictive insights to avoid downtime, improve capacity planning, and optimize application performance.
Your primary responsibility will be to work with service providers to glean use cases that is of high value to them, create roadmaps and drive the implementation of AI Predict products and solutions. You will play a significant role in applying AI to our predictive performance capabilities.
The ideal candidate:
- A technical professional with business mindset. You are either an architect or senior operations person in a service provider looking to switch to the vendor side.
- Has operational experience working in a service provider in the network operations team with knowledge of SLAs
- Or has past experience working at a networking vendor on a similar product.
- Has knowledge of use of data plane information such as logs and counters and previous experience using such data to create actionable information that can be automated at scale with machine learning and generative AI and use of GPUs.
- Has a thorough understanding of the service provider technology space, market trends, and customer/prospect needs.
- Has effective communication skills which are essential for both internal and external interactions.
- Is experienced in creating and maintaining a product roadmap with a 1-3 year outlook
- Can work effective with a global team with US based product management, customers across the globe and development teams in Pune, India and San Jose, CA.
- Collaborate with service provider customers to identify pain points in delivering services to end customers using A10 infrastructure solutions such as carrier-grade NAT (CGN), or carrier grade firewall (GI-FW) or application delivery controller (ADC).
- Through these collaborations focus on which predictive metrics can shape high-value outcomes in terms of prevented outages, or service degradation and architect the use cases and gather requirements for new features and enhancements.
- As an architect and product manager. The nature of the role requires collaboration with technical teams within the service provider.
- Clearly define user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics to guide development efforts.
- Create and manage product roadmap for both short-term and long-term outlook, prioritize features, enhancements, and initiatives based on customer feedback, market trends, and business priorities.
- Work closely with engineering teams to translate product requirements into actionable development plans and define epics and user stories with clear prioritization.
- Interact with the go-to-market (GTM) and customers to understand their needs, articulate the benefits of the A10 solution, provide high-level guidance on the solution's capabilities, and gather feedback and feature requests, as necessary.
- Partner with the product marketing team to develop go-to-market (GTM) plans, product collateral, and marketing campaigns for product launches. Support the GTM team with customer engagement.
- Gather feedback from our customers to continuously improve product offerings. Monitor customer satisfaction metrics and prioritize initiatives to address customer pain points.
- Define performance metrics to track the success of product offerings and feature sets. Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for optimization and improvement.
Qualifications
- Work experience in a service provider in network operations or architecture and/or from a networking vendor that has innovated on a similar product.
- Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of product experience with a focus on networking, analytics, cloud or application delivery.
- Previous experience in network analytics, application performance management, and AI/ML driven products
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear product requirements and strategies
- Effective communication skills both in written and oral form
- Skilled in and comfortable with presentations for both internal as well as external audience
- Experience in implementing technical solutions in an agile framework
- Ability to work with a global team and the hours this would entail.
Bonus Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge in ADC, CGN, Gi-Firewall, WAF or DDoS protection.
- Deep knowledge or experience in network capacity planning and application performance management.
