🎯 Role Summary
The Product Owner – Hotels is responsible for defining and driving the end-to-end product strategy for the hotel vertical. The role combines product vision, customer experience design, supplier performance optimization, and technical delivery management to build a high-performing, scalable hotel booking ecosystem.
This position works closely with engineering, supply, operations, analytics, and UX teams to deliver a seamless Search → Compare → Book → Post-Stay experience for both B2C and B2B channels.

🔑 Key Responsibilities
1. Product Vision & Strategy
• Develop and own the product vision for the hotels vertical, aligned with company goals.
• Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify gaps and product opportunities.
• Define value propositions that strengthen the platform’s hotel offering across regions.

2. Product Roadmap Ownership
• Build and maintain the Hotels Roadmap covering Search, Content, Booking, Payments, and Post-Stay workflows.
• Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, customer value, and technical feasibility.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure roadmap alignment with engineering, supply, finance, and marketing.

3. Backlog Management & Agile Delivery
• Create high-quality User Stories, epics, and clear acceptance criteria.
• Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint review ceremonies.
• Monitor delivery progress and remove blockers to ensure timely execution.
• Continuously refine priorities based on performance insights and stakeholder feedback.

4. User Experience & Customer Journey
• Enhance the end-to-end hotel booking journey across web and app.
• Improve filtering, ranking, room selection, comparison, and checkout flows.
• Drive A/B testing, funnel analysis, and behavior tracking (heatmaps, CTR patterns).
• Promote a user-centric culture through evidence-based decision making.

5. Supplier Integrations & Performance Optimization
• Manage and improve integrations with suppliers such as Juniper, Travolutionary, Expedia, and others.
• Optimize:
o Response time & timeout recovery
o Availability ratios
o Error rates & resiliency
o Feed consistency across POS
• Lead initiatives including Pay@Property, Dynamic VCC, Image Standardization, and Room Content enhancements.
• Collaborate with suppliers to troubleshoot recurring issues and improve SLA adherence.

6. Pricing, Content & Mapping Quality
• Ensure accuracy of hotel content (images, room descriptions, amenities).
• Identify and resolve pricing anomalies and parity issues.
• Improve mapping quality across multiple supplier feeds to minimize duplicates and mismatches.
• Enhance ranking and sorting algorithms for better relevance and conversion.

7. Data Analysis & KPI-Driven Decisions
• Own and track key funnel metrics from Search → Select → Book.
• Analyze partner and system dashboards to detect performance anomalies.
• Translate insights into actionable product improvements backed by data.
• Craft monthly performance reports for senior leadership.

8. Post-Booking and Operational Efficiency
• Improve post-booking journeys including modifications, cancellations, and refunds.
• Reduce error-prone scenarios caused by content mismatches or supplier behavior.
• Collaborate with support and operations teams to address recurring customer issues.

🧩 Skills & Experience Requirements
• 5–7 years of experience in OTA, hospitality tech, or related e-commerce product roles.
• Deep understanding of supplier integrations, mapping logic, pricing models, and content architecture.
• Hands-on experience with XML/REST APIs, caching strategies, CDNs, and performance optimization.
• Strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management.
• Proficiency in data analytics (Looker, Tableau, Excel).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, supply, finance, UX, and operations teams.
