Product Owner

Bangalore

Hybrid (3 days onsite)


The Product Owner is responsible to work with Engineering to deliver innovative solution and evangelize the product. The role is focused on building next generation agent experience solution within in cognitive contact center of HGS digital organization. As one of the key member in product development org, you will work with Director of Product Management where you will represent the voice of the customer. In this role, you also work with key internal stakeholder, partners, and enterprise clients to understand their needs and define stories to develop innovative industry leading solution.

Holding the ultimate responsibility for the product requirement definition that best meets the needs of our customers and our business, you will bring strong organizational skills to bear to maintain a steady release plan for the product. You will manage the backlog of product stories and product defects to ensure that the work defined for the team is meaningful to the customer, yet realistic and attainable for the development teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups to identify requirements to define story and prioritize
  • Maintain the product backlog of user stories and product defects based on business value
  • Engage with development to commit backlog items to sprint deliverables
  • Support customer demos and product validation practices
  • An ability to advocate for and manage the value of the product release
  • Engage with customers, prospects to understand the requirements, their feedback on current capabilities, and products in development.
  • Conduct interviews to understand the scope and the context needed to solve to deliver the right solution
  • Perform cross functional organization enablement on new product capabilities and its value .
  • On a need basis, support product delivery to ensure successful solution adoption
  • Support in developing communications material, value props and high-level strategic justification to help explain the why of your product both internally and externally


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communications skills: written, verbal, group presentations
  • Understands the market and product/service trends affecting the organization’s competitiveness
  • Finds ways to measure and track customer satisfaction throughout the product development
  • Possess positive attitude and creativity in generating solutions


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree
  • SaaS product offerings experience. Expertise in JIRA tool usage
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at a time
  • Experience in AI / ML Cloud contact centers / Automation is highly valuable
  • Expertise in product engineering with a good understanding of Agile / Scrum development processes
  • Experience in working with product sales, marketing and professional services teams
