Position: Product Developer cum Junior Merchandiser
Location: Kalyan
Industry: Textile Manufacturing (Specializing in PPE & Industrial Workwear)
Experience: 1–3 years (Candidates with experience in PPE or industrial safety wear will be preferred)
Salary Range: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Shift: General Shift Only

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Product Developer cum Junior Merchandiser to join our textile manufacturing unit in Kalyan. This is a dual-role position combining responsibilities of product development and merchandising within the PPE and industrial workwear segment. The candidate will work closely with the Merchandising Manager and will be instrumental in both product innovation and order execution processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of new PPE & industrial workwear products (design, materials, fit, functionality).
• Coordinate sample development, fabric/trims selection, and approval process.
• Work closely with production and sourcing teams for feasibility and cost alignment.
• Maintain tech packs, BOMs, and costing sheets accurately.
• Track orders and follow up with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and quality.
• Liaise with clients for sample approvals, queries, and feedback.
• Maintain T&A (Time & Action) calendars and production timelines.
• Prepare basic documentation for samples, shipments, and costing.
• Keep updated with market trends and product improvements in safety wear.

Requirements:

• Graduate in Textile, Fashion, or Apparel Design/Manufacturing.
• 1–2 years of experience in product development or merchandising; experience in PPE/industrial garments is a strong plus.
• Working knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and safety standards (preferred).
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Email).
• Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• Willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
