About the Role:

Procurement Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage procurement plans aligned with project schedules and engineering requirements.
Source, evaluate, and onboard vendors for steel coils, electrical components, plumbing materials, sheathing, insulation, and other construction materials.
Prepare and manage
RFQs/RFPs
, compare quotations, and perform commercial/technical evaluations.
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and long-term supply contracts to achieve cost savings.
Coordinate with design, engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
Verify material specifications, mill test certificates, compliance documents, and quality standards.
Track and monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, and vendor performance.
Maintain procurement documentation including material approvals, order logs, vendor records, and compliance files.
Support international procurement including customs coordination, freight handling, and import documentation (where applicable).
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement, supply chain, or material management (construction/manufacturing preferred).
Strong understanding of construction materials, vendors, and technical specifications.
Experience with ERP/inventory management systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management abilities.
Knowledge of international procurement, Incoterms, shipping, and customs processes is an added advantage.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment.
