Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, networking quotes, including racks, switches, firewalls, cabling, and licensing. This role is critical in filling a gap in our existing team and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of networking quotes. The Solutions Specialist will collaborate with leading vendors such as Cisco, Sophos, and Palo to obtain support for complex Bills of Materials (BOM) and verify technical specifications before sharing with stakeholders, BDM and customers. Mandatory Qualifications: Only candidates with prior experience in a similar role within the IT or networking industry should apply. Key Responsibilities: Quote Management : Review and manage quotes to ensure accuracy and completeness. Vendor Collaboration : Work closely with vendors (e.g., Cisco, Sophos, Palo Alto) to obtain support for complex Bills of Materials (BOM). Technical Evaluation : Evaluate and verify the technical specifications of networking equipment before sharing with stakeholders, Business Development Managers (BDMs), and customers. Procurement Process Improvement : Identify and address any gaps in the current procurement process related to networking equipment. Industry Knowledge : Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and vendor offerings. Pre-sales Support : Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team during the pre-sales process. Vendor Relationships : Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure effective procurement. Proposal and Presentation Support : Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for clients. Compliance : Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures Qualifications: Solid experience in procurement, specifically with networking equipment such as racks, switches, firewalls, cabling, and licensing. Familiarity with Cisco, Sophos, and Palo products and solutions. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software.
