Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented and health-conscious Private Chef to prepare high-quality, nutritious meals with a focus on Indian cuisine for a single-family household. The ideal candidate will have a passion for wellness-oriented cooking, an understanding of balanced nutrition, and the ability to tailor meals to personal preferences and dietary needs. The role demands flexibility to travel with the client and ensure consistency in culinary standards across locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and present daily meals focusing on healthy, low-oil, and balanced Indian cuisine.

  • Design weekly meal plans based on the client’s dietary preferences, nutritional goals, and seasonal produce.

  • Ensure freshness and quality of all ingredients through efficient sourcing and vendor management.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen at all times.

  • Manage pantry and grocery inventory; create shopping lists and liaise with suppliers as required.

  • Accompany the client during travel to ensure consistent food quality and preferences are maintained.

  • Incorporate modern healthy cooking methods (steaming, grilling, air frying, etc.) while retaining authentic flavors.

  • Occasionally prepare light continental or fusion dishes, snacks, and beverages as per the client’s request.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Private Chef or Personal Chef in a private household or hospitality setting.

  • Strong knowledge of Indian regional cuisines with a focus on healthy and wellness-based meal preparation.

  • Awareness of nutrition, calorie balance, and modern cooking techniques.

  • Excellent time management, cleanliness, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to travel with the client as required (domestic or international).

  • Discretion, confidentiality, and a professional demeanor at all times.

Preferred Background:

  • Diploma or Certification in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional training.

  • Prior experience with high-profile or UHNI clients.

  • Knowledge of dietary restrictions (gluten-free, vegan, low-carb, etc.) will be an advantage.
