Prior Authorization & Patient Coordination Associates

Key Responsibilities:

• Submit pharmacy and medical prior authorization (PA) requests through designated portals.
• Follow up with insurance carriers regarding PA status, approvals, and appeals.
• Contact patients to collect required information, provide updates, and assist with coordination.
• Communicate with pharmacies for refills, prescription status, and clarifications.
• Coordinate with physicians for clinical information, documentation, and required forms.
• Record all actions and communication notes in EMR/EHR systems.
• Manage fax communications and maintain task trackers for daily workflow.

Required Skills:

• Strong command of English grammar
• Moderate typing proficiency
• Basic understanding of medications and medical terminology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
