Printed Circuit Board Designer

As a PCB Design Engineer, your role involves collaborating with engineers and design teams to develop complex layouts of high-power circuits and detailed layouts of rigid and flexible printed boards using Mentor tools. You will create and maintain projects using EDM Designer and develop libraries using Mentor EDM interfaces. Your responsibilities also include conducting design feasibility studies, creating fabrication and assembly drawings, and maintaining technical coordination with various teams to resolve design issues. Key Responsibilities: - Create logical symbols and land pattern footprints for electronic components and mechanical parts - Assist peers in resolving critical design problems - Write scripts to automate routine tasks associated with ECAD applications - Placement and routing of high power, high speed digital, analog, and RF designs - Deep knowledge of PCB materials, build stack up, and fabrication processes - Prepare estimations and support project deliveries to meet critical timelines - Support technical reviews and sign-offs for multiple product deliverables - Create and review work instructions, checklists, and guideline documents Qualifications Required: - Technical working knowledge of electronic components and their applications - Experience in large high-density digital designs with high layer counts and FPGAs - Knowledge of ECAD/PCB/EDA library development and layout processes - Familiarity with applicable IPC standards and DFM/DFA challenges - Proficiency in using Mentor Graphics suite or other related ECAD/EDA software tools - Knowledge of PCB/CCA fabrication and board manufacturing processes - Familiarity with product life cycle management and tools like Teamcenter - Proficient in advanced PCB techniques such as bind/buried vias, via in pad, back drilling, and controlled impedance If you have experience in the aerospace domain, it is preferred but not mandatory.,
