Requirements:

· Willingness to relocate to Visnagar, Gujarat

· Ability to understand and effectively communicate in Gujarati (mandatory for residential school interactions)

· Master’s degree (MA/MSc) in a school-level subject (English, Social Sciences, Sciences, Mathematics)

· Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) is mandatory; M.Ed. is preferred

· Minimum 8 years of teaching experience as PGT or higher

· Minimum 5 years of leadership experience as Principal or Vice-Principal

· Strong understanding of CBSE curriculum, affiliation norms, safety guidelines, assessments, and compliance frameworks

· Proficiency/fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking)

· Knowledge of GSEB/ICSE curriculum expectations is an advantage

· Visionary mindset aligned with holistic student development and NEP 2020 reforms

· Strong understanding of modern pedagogical practices such as competency-based education, experiential learning, and data-driven instruction

· Demonstrated experience managing school operations, discipline systems, timetabling, and residential school routines

· High-level interpersonal skills, conflict resolution ability, and people-management capabilities

· Crisis and grievance management competence with calm, structured decision-making

· Empathy, cultural awareness, and adaptability in handling diverse student and staff communities

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with school ERP systems is a plus

· Acute attention to detail, organisational ability, and documentation accuracy

· Strong work ethic, professionalism, integrity, and high quality standards

· Post-Doctoral or Ph.D. degree is a plus

Responsibilities:

· Maintaining a strong balance between courage and conviction when it comes to handling and dealing with the staff in the school

· Overseeing the overall academic, administrative, and operational functioning of the CBSE residential school

· Ensuring full compliance with CBSE norms, NEP 2020 guidelines, child safety protocols, and curriculum standards

· Leading academic planning, instructional quality, and school improvement initiatives

· Supervising, mentoring, and evaluating teaching and non-teaching staff to ensure high performance and accountability

· Implementing innovative teaching approaches, modern pedagogy, and experiential learning practices across grades

· Monitoring student learning outcomes, analysing academic data, and addressing learning gaps through structured interventions

· Developing and nurturing a positive, inclusive, value-driven school culture

· Overseeing hostel operations, student discipline, pastoral care, and daily routines in coordination with wardens and counsellors

· Managing school finances, budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation in consultation with management

· Leading admissions, examinations, timetabling, assemblies, parent meetings, and report card processes

· Ensuring integration of technology and digital tools to enhance academic delivery and school administration

· Driving professional development programmes, teacher training sessions, and in-service workshops

· Managing crisis situations, conflict resolution, and grievance redressal with empathy and firmness

· Ensuring safety, hygiene, security, and child protection protocols across campus, classrooms, and hostels

· Coordinating with teachers, parents, management, and the School Management Committee for smooth functioning

· Representing the school in public events, educational forums, and external academic interactions

· Planning academic calendars, operational schedules, and communicating deadlines, timelines, and priorities to staff

· Evaluating and improving the effectiveness of academic programmes, extracurricular activities, and co-curricular initiatives

· Upholding the school’s mission, vision, and values and ensuring alignment in all decisions and actions

· Supporting the holistic development and socio-emotional well-being of all students
