Principal Engineering Manager- Mobile

Role Overview: You will be part of the Office Android Shared Team responsible for developing and maintaining shared components and experiences for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on Android. Your role will involve designing and implementing high-performance, scalable, and intuitive features while incorporating the latest mobile innovations and driving AI-powered advancements across the Office suite. As a Principal Engineering Manager, you will lead a dynamic mobile engineering team dedicated to Android experiences for Microsoft's mobile productivity suite. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team of 8+ engineers to design, architect, and drive implementation of large-scale experiences spanning multiple systems and groups. - Provide technical guidance and design leadership to your team. - Collaborate with global partner teams and disciplines to scope and deliver projects. - Practice customer obsession to ensure great customer outcomes. - Cultivate a diverse and inclusive team culture. - Develop robust career plans to facilitate the growth of team members. - Create clarity, generate energy, and deliver results through your team. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, or Python OR equivalent experience. - Proven ability to establish trusted, effective relationships across diverse sets of stakeholders. - Track record of fostering a culture of technical excellence and growing strong engineering teams. - Ability to quickly grasp existing concepts, employ new techniques, and exhibit strong problem-solving skills. - Desirable to have mobile development experience in iOS and Android. - Demonstrated track record of delivering products, features, and functionality on time with extremely high quality. - Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. - Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work cross-team in a collaborative environment.
