Principal Engineer - Structures

Role Overview: As a Structural Engineer at Jacobs, you will be responsible for the analysis and design of concrete and steel structures, buildings, technological buildings, PEB building design, and reviews. You will have a keen eye for detailing RCC and steel structures, connection details, and fabrication drawings. Your role will involve designing pipe racks, pipe supports, platforms, connection design, foundations of all types, flat slabs, pre-cast, and prefab structures. Additionally, you will conduct dynamic analysis for earthquake load, wind load, and machine foundation design for dynamic loads. Your responsibilities will also include preparing BOQs, tender documents, engaging in engineering management activities, mentoring resources, and representing Jacobs in client-facing and critical meetings. Key Responsibilities: - Analysis and Design of concrete and steel structures, buildings, technological buildings, PEB building design, and reviews - Design of pipe racks, pipe supports, platforms, connection design - Detailing of RCC and steel structures, connection details, and fabrication drawings review - Design of all types of foundations, equipment foundations, liquid retaining structures - Design of flat slabs, pre-cast, and prefab structures - Dynamic analysis for earthquake load, wind load, and machine foundation design for dynamic loads - Preparation of BOQs, tender documents - Engaging in engineering management activities - Mentoring, training, and encouraging resources within the discipline - Representing Jacobs in client-facing and critical meetings - Monitoring and controlling productivity and project schedule - Sharing knowledge with team members and upgrading discipline database - Ensuring effective communications with stakeholders - Coordinating with internal and external teams Qualifications Required: - Masters Degree (ME/M. Tech/ MS) in Structural Engineering - 19+ years of experience in industrial projects related to advance manufacturing, new energy businesses, automotive industries, pharmaceutical plants, FMCG projects, and data centre projects - Excellent domain knowledge of Design of RCC, steel structure, Pre-Engineered Building works, General Civil Works - Awareness of 3D platforms like Sp3D, Revit 3D, Civil 3D (Note: Additional details about the company were not included in the provided job description),
