This role involves designing, building, and maintaining backend services and web applications, with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, and cross-team collaboration.You’ll be responsible for migrating a legacy Spring MVC application to Oracle WebLogic Server 14c, developing new features, and ensuring secure, high-quality code. You’ll also contribute to database development using SQL, engage with business analysts and designers, and troubleshoot issues across the full stack. Responsibilities
- Application Development – Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using Java and related frameworks
- Platform Migration – Migrate an existing Spring MVC application to Oracle WebLogic Server 14c
- Backend Services – Build and manage backend components and APIs leveraging Spring MVC
- Database Management – Develop and optimize SQL queries; work with MSSQL and Oracle databases to ensure data integrity and performance
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with product managers, business analysts, designers, and developers to define and implement new features
- Code Quality & Security – Uphold high standards for code quality, maintainability, and security across the application stack
- Issue Resolution – Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve bugs and technical issues across systems
- Continuous Learning – Stay current with emerging development trends, tools, and best practices
About You
You’re a curious and capable Java developer who thrives in collaborative environments and takes pride in writing clean, maintainable code. You bring deep technical expertise, adaptability, and a problem-solving mindset—always ready to learn and communicate effectively with others.
- Java Proficiency – Strong experience in developing robust applications using Java
- Application Deployment – Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Java Spring applications on Oracle WebLogic Server 14c
- Framework Expertise – Solid understanding of Spring MVC; familiarity with Spring Boot is a plus
- SQL & Databases – Proficient in SQL with experience working in both MSSQL and Oracle database environments
- Issue Diagnosis – Comfortable analyzing and resolving complex issues across the application stack
- Team Collaboration – Strong communication and collaboration skills; effective working independently and with cross-functional teams
- Attention to Detail – High level of accuracy, problem-solving capabilities, and organizational skills
- Identity Management – Experience with SAML/OAuth2 configurations in WebLogic
- Security & Compliance – Familiarity with SSL/TLS keystore management and FIPS/STIG hardening techniques
