Principal Content Specialist – Engineering & Consulting

We are looking for a Senior Content Writer / Lead with strong writing and communication skills and a good understanding of the infrastructure and consulting business landscape. The role involves creating and managing high-quality technical and corporate content that supports the company’s project, proposal, and business development activities across India.

Role Overview:

The Senior Content Writer / Lead (Infrastructure Consulting) will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and refining a wide range of documents including proposals, project reports, capability statements, and knowledge papers.

The role requires an ability to translate complex technical ideas into clear, well-structured, and engaging content while coordinating closely with engineering, planning, and business development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Development & Documentation

• Prepare and edit EOIs, RFPs, DPRs, project reports, proposals, and capability statements in coordination with technical teams.
• Write and refine content for white papers, case studies, sector briefs, and knowledge notes in areas such as Water, Urban Infrastructure, and Energy.
• Support the creation of corporate documents, brochures, presentations, and website content.
• Ensure all communication materials maintain accuracy, clarity, and consistency in tone and presentation.

Collaboration & Coordination:

• Work closely with technical, planning, and project management professionals to understand project context and align messaging.
• Coordinate inputs and data from internal teams to produce concise, well-structured documentation.
• Mentor junior content writers and guide them in maintaining quality standards.
• Knowledge & Strategy Support
• Assist in preparing knowledge papers, sectoral summaries, and project profiles for internal and client presentations.
• Contribute to improving the company’s document templates, content frameworks, and knowledge library.
• Support business development teams in preparing impactful and compliant proposals.

Key Skills & Attributes:

• Strong command of written English and an ability to simplify technical concepts.
• Sound understanding of infrastructure consulting, engineering, or public sector documentation.
• Experience in government-funded projects, DPRs, or tender-based assignments preferred.
• Excellent structuring, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with design tools
• (Canva, Adobe Suite) is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple documents and deadlines efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in English, Journalism, Communications, Engineering, Planning, or Architecture.
• 15 years of experience in technical or proposal writing within engineering, infrastructure, or consulting domains.
