Job Description and Person specifications of a Primary teacher /Montessori teacher . Job Title : Primary teacher / Montessori teacher Reports to : Principal / Montessori co-ordinator Job type : full time Job Summary : We are looking for a dedicated Primary/Montessori teacher to join our school who is passionate , reliable and innovative . As a Primary /Montessori teacher , you are responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow intellectually , socially , emotionally and physically . Candidates must have passion to work with young children , guiding them with Montessori philosophy and materials and promoting a positive learning environment . Candidates should have a deep understanding of Montessori principles and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs . Roles and responsibilities : 1. Develop and implement age appropriate lesson plans and activities to support cognitive , physical , social and emotional development of a child . 2. Creating an organized classroom environment ensuring that all Montessori materials are clean , safe ,accessible and rotated regularly . 3. Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes exploration , creativity and independence . 4. Promoting a variety of learning experiences like small group activities , mixed group activities ,individualized instructions to meet the diverse needs of every child . 5. Foster positive relationship with children , parents and colleagues to promote open communication and collaboration . 6. Monitor and access each childs progress by maintaining records and providing continuous feedback to parents . 7. Supporting children in developing essential , life skills , language and communication , fine motor , gross motor skills , problem solving and decision making skills . 8. Encourage the children and train them in self help skills such as toileting ,dressing and eating . 9. Promote good behavior and discipline through role modeling and positive reinforcement techniques , class room rules and expectations . 10. Plan and organize field trips , events and activities that give opportunities for hands on learning experiences . 11. Stay updated with the early childhood practices and trends by attending trainings , workshops , conferences and professional developments . 12.Mentoring teaching assistants and colleagues to follow best practices . Promoting diversity in classroom activities and materials fostering an inclusive environment . Required Skills and qualification : 1.D.ed / B.ed or similar areas of study 2. Montessori trained certificate or an equivalent certificate . 3. Excellent communication skills 4. 1-2 years of work experience in a Educational institution 5. Passion to work with children and understanding the program 6. Ability to teach patiently and manage a large group of children of different ages 7. Ability to multitask and organize learning programs 8. Willingness to work in partnership and as a team 9. Being a role model for children and developing positive relationships . 10 CPR and first aid trainings are required , trainings can be arranged for candidates who do not hold these qualifications .
