PRIMARY ENGINEER

Role Overview: As a Design Engineer (Primary), you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and executing Primary Engineering Activities for Substation Projects under the direction of the Design Lead (Primary). Your role will involve having a good understanding of Layout Engineering in Substation Projects and assisting in the development of BIM 3D Models for Substations. Key Responsibilities: - Timely review of drawings developed by draftsman - Interact with Site Execution & Cluster teams for clarification on equipment design - Coordinate with inter-disciplinary areas for design concurrence - Ensure compliance with specification requirements - Review drawings (2D & 3D) and documentation for quality - Review Vendor Offers and Documents - Pre-Tender Engineering including estimation of BOM and Offer Reviews - Prepare design calculations for Substation equipment and other calculations - Review Bill of Material and compare with Tender Quantity Qualification Required: - Complete understanding of Primary Engineering activities like SLD Preparation, Layout Engineering, Earthing, Cable Routing, Lighting, Lightning Protection, Cable Tray Routing - Ability to perform design & sizing calculations for various equipment - Knowledge of National and International Codes and Standards - Understanding of inter-disciplinary design aspects of electrical equipment in Civil & Structural, Mechanical, and Instrumentation domains.
