Press Tool Designer

As a Sheet Metal Component Feasibility Study Performer, your key responsibilities will include: - Conducting feasibility studies for sheet metal components. - Participating in the design and detailing of press tools. - Designing die layouts for stage and progressive tools. - Creating 2D and 3D drawings as well as Bill of Materials. - Generating final drawings for die elements and assembly details. - Following engineering standards for raw material selection and creating Bills of Materials. - Designing various press tools such as Blanking, Piercing, Restricting, Forming, Bending, and Progressive Press Tools. - Applying thorough knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). - Leading all tool design and development activities from conceptual to detail phases, providing post-design support, and assisting in proving. - Designing tools for critical press parts with high tolerance requirements. - Developing progressive dies and multi-stage tools. - Demonstrating expertise in 3D modeling, particularly in SolidWorks software. Qualifications required for this role: - Proficiency in sheet metal component design and press tool detailing. - Strong knowledge of GD&T principles. - Hands-on experience in 2D and 3D modeling, specifically with SolidWorks software. - Ability to work on critical press parts with high tolerance specifications.
