Presales Head Data Center Solutions - Pune (HO)

Role Overview

Presales Head

This strategic leadership role requires deep technical knowledge, strong business understanding, and the ability to craft winning solutions for enterprise, hyperscale, and modular DC customers.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end presales for datacenter and critical infrastructure projects.
  • Design technical solutions,

    BOMs

    , and detailed proposals for electrical, mechanical, IBMS, ELV, and modular DC systems.
  • Conduct requirement analysis, client workshops, and site feasibility assessments.
  • Ensure solution alignment with TIA/Uptime/ASHRAE/IEC standards.

Bid Management & Proposal Engineering

  • Manage RFP/RFQ/RFI responses

    with precision and timely execution.
  • Coordinate with engineering, design, procurement, and operations to finalize solutions.
  • Drive value engineering and solution optimization to improve win rate.
  • Deliver technical presentations, demos, and client walkthroughs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales Leadership for deal strategy and technical positioning.
  • Guide smooth handover of technical scope to execution teams.
  • Influence design teams on innovation, standardization, and modular DC frameworks.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop a high-performing presales engineering team.
  • Build technical knowledge repositories, templates, and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Telecom Engineering.

  • Masters degree (MBA/PGDM) or certifications such as CDCP, CDCS, ATD, PMP .


  • 1215 years of experience in presales or solution architecture within:
    • Datacenters (Hyperscale/Colocation/Edge)
    • Modular / Containerized DC
    • Power & Cooling Technologies
    • IBMS / ICT / ELV Systems
  • Strong expertise in proposal engineering, SLDs, layouts, and solution documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience in large-scale DC project bidding and client engagements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who:

  • Comes from the datacenter ecosystemOEMs, system integrators, colocation providers, modular DC companies, or critical infrastructure solution providers.
  • Has strong technical command over:
    • UPS, Switchgear, PDUs
    • Precision cooling systems, containment, chillers
    • IBMS, ELV, fire safety, network racks
    • Modular / prefabricated DC containers
  • Has led complex RFP responses and understands commercial, technical, and operational interdependencies.
  • Has experience working closely with CXOs, consultants, and enterprise clients.
  • Possesses strong business acumen with the ability to balance solution quality and cost competitiveness.
  • Is innovative, proactive, and capable of steering technical strategy in fast-evolving DC markets (Edge, Modular DC, AI-ready DCs).
  • Has excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
