Key Responsibilities:
Approach potential customers through professional networking, Existing data base and company contacts to find Prospect customers.
Regular follow up with prospect customers and generate enquiries,
Evaluate enquiries received and Understand & identify the specific automation solution required by clients. This involves technical discussions, analyzing customer documents, and potentially site visits.
Coordinate with Application Engineers and work out Technical proposal, which will involve selecting appropriate hardware and software, costing the solution, and potentially creating a system architecture.
This includes creating detail BOM from specification derived in Technical Proposal stage including cost estimates, product specifications, and system diagrams, to meet the client's requirements.
Pre-sales engineers often present the proposed solution to the client, explaining its technical aspects, benefits, and how it addresses their needs.
A deep understanding of various industrial automation products, including PLCs, SCADA systems, HMIs, and industrial communication protocols, is crucial.
Working closely with the sales team, other engineers, and potentially with product development teams is essential for a successful presales process.
pre-sales engineers will be involved in post-sales activities, such Inventory checking, material planning, invoicing, dispatches, Payment collection and coordination with Technical team for swift installation & commissioning of supplied solution.
Essential Skills:
Strong knowledge of industrial automation hardware and software, including PLCs (Siemens S7-400, S7-1500, etc.), SCADA systems (WinCC, PCS7, etc.), and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information to clients and colleagues.
Ability to analyze technical challenges, develop solutions, and troubleshoot issues.
Building rapport with clients and working effectively within a team.
Understanding the sales process and being able to effectively present the value proposition of the proposed solution.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
