Precast Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Precast Plant Planning & Setup

• Oversee layout planning, equipment installation, and commissioning of precast facilities.
  
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for procurement of molds, batching plant, cranes, and production machinery.
  
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and capacity planning.
  

2. Production & Operations Management

• Supervise production scheduling and workflow of precast elements (slabs, beams, columns, wall panels, faade, stairs, etc.)
  
• Monitor daily production output, cycle time, and resource utilization.
  
• Implement lean manufacturing and automation improvements.
  

3. Technical & Construction Management

• Review shop drawings, structural specifications, and method statements.
  
• Coordinate with design consultants, EPC contractors, and project site teams.
  
• Ensure accurate lifting, handling, storage, transportation, and installation of precast elements.
  

4. Quality Assurance & Control

• Implement QA/QC procedures for material testing and finished precast components.
  
• Inspect molds, reinforcement, concrete batching, curing, and finishing standards.
  
• Address NCRs, defects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  

5. Site Installation & Execution

• Plan erection sequence and crane operations at site as per construction schedule.
  
• Monitor alignment, grouting, joint sealing, and structural stability.
  
• Ensure safe work method practices and safety audit compliance.
  

6. Team & Vendor Management

• Manage plant supervisors, technicians, maintenance staff, and site installation team.
  
• Evaluate subcontractor performance and negotiate contract terms.
  
• Training team for technical skill enhancement.
  

7. Cost, Budget & Reporting

• Monitor project budget, material consumption & cost control.
  
• Prepare MIS reports, productivity dashboards, and progress updates.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education:

  B.E. / B.Tech in Civil / Structural Engineering

• Experience:

  10-15 years in precast plant or precast construction industry

• Technical Skills:

  Precast production planning, erection methodology, QA/QC testing, AutoCAD, Primavera/MS Project

• Knowledge:

  Indian & international precast standards, safety norms, concrete materials & curing technologies
