Job Description

Production Planning - Receive customer requirements and annual delivery schedule; collaborate with other department heads in assessment of capacity and capability parameters to meet the schedule - Analyze past data on production capacities and discuss insourcing / outsourcing decisions with the Plant Head / Operations Head - Seek inputs from Operations Head on capacity utilization; prepare monthly and day wise plan for the production and dispatch schedule post discussion with respective function heads - Circulate the plan across the relevant parties and stakeholders; address queries, if any - Participate in the daily morning meeting with other department heads and assess planned vs. achieved production for the last day; discuss deviations and action points to address the same - Discuss the deviations with customers and provide assurance to address the same going forward - Make changes / amendments in the production plan, if directed by customer demands and disseminate the information accordingly in timely manner - Analyze the past data for customer demand fluctuations and incorporate that into the production planning IN ORDER TO develop detailed production plans on daily / weekly / monthly basis in lines with the customer approved production plan Material/Component Availability Management (Proprietary) - Direct team to place orders for raw material (BOPs) shipment in order to address the production requirements to the identified / empaneled set of suppliers / vendors - Guide team in defining timelines / specifications and provide relevant details for the supply - Direct team to coordinate with the stores team in ensuring minimum sufficient inventory level for the finished goods to address demand fluctuations - Negotiate on timelines / delivery times in case of critical material requirement; seek support from Corporate Purchasing team, if required - Discuss quality / quantity concerns with the suppliers and seek resolution with regard to significant deviations from the planned quality / quantity - Escalate issues / concerns with regard to supplier quality / timelines to Plant Head / CBH Head / Corp. Purchasing team - Ensure availability of dies and periodic maintence of dies in as per the maintenance schedule ( only in die casting ) IN ORDER TO ensure timely delivery of material to plant premises in lines with the defined requirements Dispatch Management - Communicate with customers regarding the agreed-upon dispatch schedule and make changes, if any - Analyze the dispatch plan prepared by Logistics for accuracy and verify the completion of the previous dispatch schedule; address any queries, if any - Ensure completion of PDI check before dispatch of goods to customers - Receive customer complaints with respect to quality, quantity or timeliness of delivery and communicate it to respective internal stakeholders for redressal - Proactively communicates to customer for any deviations from the agreed demand and on the FGs dispatched from the plant - Ensure availability of products in warehouses ( only applicable for proprietary) incase the demand from customer is not clear and manage the stock maintenance and dispatch IN ORDER TO ensure timely and accurate dispatch of products to customers People Management - Provide development opportunities to the team - Empower team members to take business decisions by effectively delegating authority - Identify and recruit key talent for the department - Set and communicate clear performance expectations, coach, provide support and regular feedback to the team on performance - Coordinate with HR to identify and enhance the competencies of the team members for their growth & career path IN ORDER TO build the team's capability and increase attractiveness of Endurance as an employer.
