Power BI Developer

About the Role :
We are seeking a Power BI Developer with strong expertise in DAX, SQL, and Power Query to design, build, and optimize analytical dashboards and reports.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in implementing Row-Level Security (RLS), improving report performance, and managing Power BI service environments.Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets using best visualization practices.- Create complex DAX measures and calculated columns to support analytical requirements.- Implement Row-Level Security (Static and Dynamic) to manage user-level data access.- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into efficient BI solutions.- Use Power Query (M Language) for ETL processesdata cleansing, transformation, and modeling.- Optimize performance using Performance Analyzer, DAX Studio, and query optimization techniques.- Manage Power BI workspaces, gateways, and data refresh schedules.- Integrate data from multiple sources (SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, etc.) into unified models.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data validation and issue resolution.- Maintain version control and deployment processes through Azure DevOps / Git.Required Skills & Experience :
- 3+ years of professional experience in Power BI Development.- Very strong DAX skills capable of writing complex, optimized measures.- Proficient in SQL joins, stored procedures, and performance tuning.- Hands-on experience with Power Query (M Language) for advanced data transformations.- Strong understanding of Row-Level Security (RLS) both static and dynamic.- Solid grasp of data modeling, star schema, and relationships.- Experience with Performance Analyzer and dashboard optimization.- Familiar with Power BI Service Administration workspaces, access, and publishing.- Exposure to Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or Data Lake (nice to have).- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Good to Have :
- Experience in Agile / Scrum methodology.- Familiarity with Power Automate or Power Apps.- Knowledge of Python / R integration with Power BI.- Microsoft Certified : Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) preferred.
