As an Associate Power BI Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering data visualization and reporting solutions using Microsoft Power BI. Collaborating closely with clients and senior team members, you will translate functional requirements into intuitive, user-centric dashboards and reports. Your focus will be on transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making through compelling storytelling and visualization techniques. Emphasis on concepts of UI/UX principles while building dashboards and reports to ensure clarity, accessibility, and ease of use for business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive, visually engaging dashboards and reports in Power BI tailored to project and client needs.
• Convert raw data from diverse sources (e.g., SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint) into structured, analytical data models using Power Query and DAX.
• Support the translation of business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications.
• Apply best practices in user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design to ensure dashboards are intuitive, accessible, and easy to navigate for end users.
• Use storytelling techniques to present insights in a compelling and decision-supportive format.
• Ensure data integrity, optimized performance, and an intuitive user experience across all reporting solutions.
• Partner with senior developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data insights through effective visual storytelling.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and enhancements to existing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Document report logic, data models, and visualization designs to support knowledge sharing and solution sustainability.
• Continuously explore and adopt new Power BI capabilities and industry best practices.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Power BI tools including Power BI Desktop, Power Query, and DAX.
• Strong data modeling and transformation skills, with hands-on experience in integrating data from sources like SQL, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Understanding of UI/UX design principles and data storytelling ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Analytical mindset, effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with clients, and senior team members for gathering requirements and delivering impactful reports.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, performance optimization, and continuous improvement of reporting solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to SQL, Python, or other scripting languages for data transformation.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Microsoft Fabric.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Prior experience in consulting or working with clients in a technical capacity
