Job Description

Position Summary

Power BI Developer/Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Power BI Development

  • Design and develop

    Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models

    .
  • Create

    DAX measures

    and calculated columns to support complex business logic.
  • Build and optimize

    data models

    (star schema, snowflake).
  • Implement

    row-level security (RLS)

    and data governance practices.

Data Preparation & ETL

  • Extract, clean, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
  • Work with

    Power Query (M language)

    to shape and prepare datasets.
  • Integrate data from

    SQL databases, Excel, cloud sources, APIs

    , etc.

Analysis & Business Support

  • Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
  • Provide actionable insights and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand KPIs and data needs.

System Maintenance

  • Maintain and refresh datasets, gateways, and scheduled updates.
  • Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and reliability of reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with

    Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service

    .
  • Proficiency in

    DAX

    ,

    Power Query (M)

    , and data modeling best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of

    SQL

    for querying and joining datasets.
  • Experience with

    ETL processes

    and data warehousing concepts.
  • Understanding of

    data visualization principles

    and UX-friendly report design.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with

    Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks

    (optional).
  • Knowledge of Python/R for data analysis (optional).
  • Power BI certification (PL-300) is a plus
