Develop visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI Desktop.
Connect Power BI to various data sources, import data, and transform data as per project requirements.
Create data flows, including complex data and ETL flows within Power BI.
Write SQL queries and demonstrate strong understanding of database fundamentals such as multidimensional and relational database design.
Proficient in creating complex DAX queries, Power Query, bookmarks, and SQL.
Implement row-level security and understand application security layer models in Power BI. Develop tabular/multidimensional models compatible with data warehouse standards using M-Query.
Understand cloud data environments (Snowflake knowledge is preferred).
Develop, publish, maintain, and schedule Power BI reports to visualize business trends as per requirements.
Troubleshoot, enhance existing reports, and create new dashboards.

Candidate Profile

Bachelors/Master's degree in computer science/engineering, operations research, or related analytics areas. Candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from top-tier academic institutions are also encouraged to apply.
5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably in analytics.
Expertise in model development for reports, data transformations, and modelling using Power BI Query Editor.
Experience developing and integrating with various data sources. Proficient in using varied data connectors for in-house or cloud data stores, with the ability to quickly stage and shape data from sources into reporting and analytics solutions.
Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models.
Ability to handle complex data queries and client requirements with hands-on experience in MS SQL Server BI Stack, including SSRS, TSQL, Power Query, MDX, Power BI, Power Pivot, and DAX for designing, modelling, and implementing end-to-end Power BI solutions.
Experience with data gateway for data refresh.
Investigate and troubleshoot Power BI reports and data models, including data issue investigation, validation, balancing, and fixing automated reports and dashboards.
Monitor performance and optimize Power BI solutions for scalability and efficiency.
Experience with Power Services and Power Apps. Knowledge of Power Automate is a plus.
Maintain and create Power BI dashboards from scratch with enhanced customer/end-user experience, using storyboards, smooth navigation, and high-quality visuals.
Insurance industry knowledge is preferred.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment and ready to take on challenging tasks.
Ability to understand cross-cultural differences and work with clients globally.
