Role: PostgreSQL Developer Location: Hyderabad (Locals preferred) Exp: 4 to 6 years Work mode: General Shift - WFO Hire mode: C2H - Contract to Hire Interview mode: 1st round is code test followed by Technical discussion Notice Period: Immediate joiners prefered. Job Overview As a Database Developer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our data systems. You will be responsible for designing complex database queries, optimizing performance, and leading data migration initiatives to ensure seamless transitions and integrations of data across various platforms. Key Responsibilities - Database Query Building: - Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries to support application performance and enhance data retrieval efficiency. - Analyze existing queries for optimization and implement best practices to improve execution time. - Collaborate with developers to understand application requirements and translate them into effective database solutions. - Data Migration Projects: - Plan, execute, and oversee data migration projects, ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the process. - Utilize data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to facilitate data transfers between systems. - Identify data quality issues pre- and post-migration and create strategies for resolution. - Database Design and Maintenance: - Work with data architects to design and implement database structures that meet both current and future business needs. - Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance. - Ensure the security of databases and timely backups to prevent data loss. - Collaboration and Documentation: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application developers, data analysts, and project managers, to align database strategies with business goals. - Document database designs, architectures, and migration procedures to ensure knowledge transfer within the team. Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Database Developer or in a similar role, with a focus on SQL and relational database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL). - Strong expertise in writing complex queries and performance tuning. - Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end data migration projects, including planning, testing, and execution. - Familiarity with ETL tools and data warehousing concepts. - Knowledge of database security best practices and data governance principles.
