Candidate Profile:- Designation:- PostgreSQL Developer - Database Developer Experience range:- 2-4 years (Relevant) No. of Positions:- 1 Type of Appointment:- Permanent Location:- Ahmedabad Qualification:- BE/ B.Tech Computers or MCA Role description: The PostgreSQL database developer is responsible for developing database code. This is a central role in our development team that will build effective APIs that access and manipulate very large datasets, many of them geospatial, working with product managers, front end developers and DBAs as needed. Responsibilities: Implement and maintain database code in the form of stored procedures, scripts, queries, views, triggers, etc. Owning all PostgreSQL database architecture and design Owning all PostgreSQL database production and non-production implementation to ensure performance, stability, and scalability. Establishing all PostgreSQL support processes and standards. PostgreSQL developer should work / support live DB data correction / creation / deletion issues. Should be capable to write stored procedure, triggers as and when required. Should be able to optimize DB queries which are getting used in the current project and as a result data retrieval from DB should be improved. Creating appropriate scripts/code for production and non-production PostgreSQL DB updates Work with front end developers to define simple yet powerful APIs. Work with DBAs to ensure efficiency of database code, integrity of data structures and quality of data content. Work with product managers to ensure database code meets requirements. Review the existing PostgreSQL implementation and propose/implement improvements Critical skills required: 3+ years working as a database developer working with PostgreSQL expertise. Expert Level SQL including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views. Knowledge of JSON and PostgreSQL support for JSON. Ability to efficiently write database code without compromising data quality, privacy or security.
