Job Description

Strong desire to continue learning and expand the knowledge on to other RDBMS and NoSQL architectures and administrative procedures. Ability to effectively communicate with internal support personnel and Navisite customers. Installs, configures, upgrades, tunes, and maintains PostgreSQL production, development, and test databases. extensive exp on PostgreSQL (15,14, 13, 12 ,11, 10 ,9) support in an Enterprise environment for upgarde and patch. Performing in place , out of place upgrades. Participates in application outage incidents to ensure database integrity and functionality. Performing minor and major level upgrades is a must. Tuning auto vacuum parameters to ensure up to date table stats and reclaim space consumed by dead tuples. Backup & Restore activities performing backups using SQL dump utilities Monitoring PostgreSQL databases using PMM monitoring tool. Daily log analysis using pgbadger tool. Defines and maintains database problem reporting, tracking, and resolution procedures. Provides proactive input into design issues/constraints, performance tuning, and impact analysis of changes. Support, enforce and improve upon Navisite database development, deployment, and maintenance best practices. Advise customers on hardware and performance questions, and recommend best practices Ensure that customers have appropriate maintenance in place including backups, index maintenance, consistency checks and statistics maintenance Continue to learn new skills involved in being a PostgreSQL DBA as the technology evolves Keep up to date with new releases of PostgreSQL and advise customers of the aspects that pertain to them Interface and communicate with other internal departments at Navisite Participate in 24x7 shift coverage Please Reach me out by below Number and Mail ID 8247636421/ shiva.c@twsol.com
