Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Postdoctoral Researcher located on-site in Ahmedabad. The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for Numerical Modeling and Algorithm Development for Neoclassical Tearing Mode (NTM) detection using ECE Diagnostic in ITER. The role includes understand ECE diagnostic system and NTM for simulating NTM island structure and derive width & phase as function of time using ITER plasma parameters. Finally develop a algorithm for detection of NTM by ECE diagnostic and contributing to scientific publications and presentations. Qualifications

• Numerical analysis Skills and Research experience in scientific computation language like FORTRAN, Python/ MATH Lab
• Strong foundation in Physics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Ph.D. in Physics or a related field
• Experience in fusion research or related scientific disciplines is a plus
