Job Description

We are looking for a highly proficient PL/SQL Developer who can develop, enhance, and maintain complex PL/SQL code and stored procedures. The ideal candidate will be adept at analyzing and optimizing SQL queries for performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating effectively with application developers. Expertise in performance tuning tools and database object design is essential for this role. Key Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and maintain PL/SQL code and stored procedures to support various business functionalities and application requirements. Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and scalability, ensuring efficient data retrieval and manipulation. Troubleshoot slow-running queries effectively, identifying root causes and recommending appropriate indexing and partitioning strategies . Collaborate closely with application developers to ensure seamless and efficient SQL code integration within applications. Conduct comprehensive performance tuning and query optimization using industry-standard tools such as Explain Plan, SQL Trace, TKPROF, and AWR. Design and maintain database objects including tables, views, indexes, triggers, sequences, and other schema components. Participate actively in code reviews , providing constructive feedback and enforcing best practices for SQL and PL/SQL development to ensure code quality and maintainability. Create and maintain detailed documentation for database designs, code, and optimization strategies. Monitor database performance and proactively identify areas for improvement. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience in developing, enhancing, as well as maintaining PL/SQL code and stored procedures. Strong analytical and optimization skills for complex SQL queries. Expertise in troubleshooting slow-running queries and recommending indexing/partitioning strategies. Experience collaborating with application developers for SQL code integration. Hands-on experience with performance tuning and query optimization tools (Explain Plan, SQL Trace, TKPROF, AWR). Proficiency in designing and maintaining database objects (tables, views, indexes, triggers, sequences). Experience participating in code reviews and enforcing best practices for SQL and PL/SQL development. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
